One Speaker Quieter / Not Working
Troubleshoot using the following checklist:
1 Are both speaker cables plugged in at both ends properly?
2 Are both sliders on the system pushed equally?
3 Is the blue cable plugged into the mp3 player and system properly ( a common problem is that one of the connections to the system is not pushed in properly). This will result in the music only being quieter, with the microphone being normal level in both speaker.
4 Swop the blue cable connections over on the system, what happens now? if the quiet speaker changes, the problem lies with the mp3 player or blue cable. Listen to the mp3 player with headphones to ensure that it is the cable at fault.
5 Is the microphone quieter in one speaker as well? if not the problem lies with the mp3 player or blue cable.
6 Swop the speaker cables over at the system end only (don’t touch the cables at the speaker end). What happens? Is the same speaker quieter or the other one. If it is the same speaker that is quieter, then the problem is with the speaker unit. If the other speaker is quieter, then carry on with the trouble shooting
7 Swop the speaker cables over at the speaker end (so that you have now swopped them over totally) ( ie make sure that the right output to right speaker goes from left output to left speaker) what happens now? If the original quiet speaker is quiet, the problem lies with the amplifier. If the other speaker is quiet, the problem lies with the speaker cable. it should be replaced.
